Fragments, Faces, Figures – Group Exhibition at Rufus Gallery

6 September – 5 October 2025

This autumn, Rufus Gallery in Ghent presents Fragments, Faces, Figures, a group exhibition that unites five distinctive artistic universes: Studio Atzori, Yingda Dong, Bart Spitaels, Nicolas Keppens, and Jan Vandeplancke. Each artist explores, in their own idiosyncratic way, the shifting contours of memory, imagination, and impermanence.

A dialogue between forms and feelings

The exhibition unfolds as a sensory interplay of images and objects, where tradition and transformation meet. Visitors encounter cartoonish sculptures-with-a-soul, embroidered textile pieces, dystopian floral visions, intuitive figures, and organic wooden objects. These works do not merely present themselves but whisper, distort, and echo, inviting the viewer to question what is remembered, imagined, or lost.

The result is a collection that balances on the edge of recognition and alienation, paying tribute to what lingers in the mind long after the image itself has faded: a form, a face, a feeling.

About Rufus Gallery

Situated in the raw, steamy heart of Ghent’s Dampoort district, Rufus Gallery is known for its focus on contemporary visual art with strong graphic accents, occasionally expanding into the photographic. By defying conventional boundaries, the gallery has become a dynamic platform for both local talent and international artists, cultivating an atmosphere where experimentation thrives.
